No, really, it's an honor just to be self-nominated!
Well, Congrats to the Winners and also to the runners-up (aka Best Losers)!
If anyone needs me I'll be spending the next few months working on making my blog an even sorrier excuse for a Catholic blog so I can win that category next year. I'm thinking the best way to do that is to keep the blog name but to focus mostly on developments in Lemur husbandry. I'll keep everyone updated.
Thanks for hosting this awesome award contest!
Apparently, I'm not sorry enough to get no votes, but also not sorry enough to carry the entire category. ah, well. I guess I'm just horribly average.
Maybe that should be a category next year. "Most White-Bread Average Catholic Blog"
LOL
Thanks again!
Congratulations on a well-fought draw!
Looks like the Daley Machine voted in a few of these categories....
In my excitement at being one of the Best Losers I fogot to thank CC for conceiving of and running this fun contest. It's always good to mix things up and get people checking out blogs they haven't read before! So a big round of applause for the Carolina Cannonball! Yay!(You former cub scouts know what to do!)
Tim, there is no category for Best Kiss Ass Catholic Blog.
;-P
Krishna on a cracker... I created the Liberal NeoTrad category and I can't even win that?
That's alright. When I'm channeling the spirit of Francis in my bowl of wheat germ and dates, I'll be sure to let him know about the lot of you.
Your chakras are gonna be soooooo effed up.
:-)
now that made me LOL.
I have to agree with Tim. This was a fun way of meeting new people.
Steve - no Daley Machine but a bit of Tony (Soprano) help. People were locking up their horses.
This is the way to do things. Nominate yourself, vote for yourself, and hire a 12 year old campaign manager.
Yee-Haw
I LOST.. I am now officially NOT the sorriest excuse for a catholic blog!!! Second from the bottom!!!
I have arrived, or maybe departed.
I went away on retreat comfortable in the thought that FINALLY I had won something, as I was streets ahead in the voting. I came back from retreat to find that Fr Erik had taken advantage of my absence!!
I was ROBBED, and I'm going to sulk!
;-D
Mac - We shall vest ourselves and raid the compound of Father Erik and steal back the award that rightfully belongs to you.
Word has it that coercion of the worst type took place at Mass to garner votes in your absence. He told the congregation that you were not really on retreat but being held for ransom. The ransom could only be paid with votes for him. He wins – you come home.
So, you see, it was really a display of love and affection for you (or so Father Erik said.)
Thanks so much to everyone (esp. Carolina) and to all readers of Rorate!
These are our favorite awards ever!
:)
Vindicated! I knew I had the sorriest excuse for a Catholic blog! Those others are much better expressions of Catholicism than mine!
Thank you all! Thank you!
WOO-HOO!!!!!!
Thanks CC!
Here's a challence none of you should be able to counter: If someone wins an award for being "most underappreciated," then they're no longer underappreciated, are they?
Did I say "challence?" I meant "challenge." (whew!)
How bout mine?
