things I can thoroughly recommend...

... this year all my Christmas gifts were bought from various religious organizations to support some one other than Wal-Mart and Target.

Inspired by The Anchoress, I bought my gifts from these suppliers and can honestly say I was pleased and will do this for every future gift giving occasion... whether the receiver likes it not, or is even Catholic. So there.

For the Ladies, I recommend the Dominican nuns of Summit NJ Cloister Gift Shoppe.

For the coffee drinkers, Mystic Monk Coffee. I am having a cup of Breakfast Blend as I type this. This coffee is from those awesome manly spiritual bad asses, the Carmelite Monks of Wyoming.

And for the sweet tooth in your life, I recommend this; little pieces of candy heavan made by the Trappistine Nuns of Mississippi Abbey.

I read the same article by the Anchoress and ordered a case of caramels from the Trappastines. I gave (most of) them as gifts. ;D

Ooooh, that book at the Nun's Cloister looks so lovely.

I wish I'd seen this before Christmas.
