l'm all verklempt...

... did you see Aretha's hat!? Didn't Michelle look absolutely stunning in her gold brocade suit by Isabel Toledo? Like but-tah!

GAH! I am so impressed by the level of journalistic integrity and serious coverage on this "historic" event.

I just realized, this was such a "Terry post".

LOVED Aretha's hat (but only on Aretha), Michelle Obama IS beautiful and DID look stunning, the inauguration WAS historic, and for the first time in at least 8 years, I at least have hope in America again.

suck-ah. You fell for the American Idol.

Given the choice between hope and sour grapes and whining, bitterness and sarcasm, I'll take hope ... even if it is popular at the moment.

Father Vasiliy says sour grapes makes for strong wine.

And Jesus Christ says "love your neighbor."

Who are you gonna listen to?

There's alot more to being a Christian than posting pretty pictures of Jesus and his friends on a weblog.

But posting pictures IS alot easier.

And -C is a little sour tonight...? I forgot: it was a long day. First day of the Republic too. Nothing happened before, and if it did, nothing good for sure. You agree, right? I am glad I was not in DC, I surely can't dance and could not fake it. Oh I forgot: I don't wear hats, and I was not invited.

Who am I going to listen to? Surely not some one so easily suckered by high gloss media coverage of the furer... or some one who erroneously spouts "love they neighbor" & kumbaya for no apparent reason.

The only thing "easier" than posting pretty pictures is watering down theology.

... Or pretending that Jesus didn't mean what he said - or thinking that it applies to everyone except for you.

Read again, I wasn't asking you to listen to me.

"The only thing "easier" than posting pretty pictures is watering down theology."

yes, it would seem you know alot about both.

What I do know is you have a piss poor sense of humor.

I hated Michelle's dress. I thought it looked like something the Queen Mum would have worn (but would have worn so much better!)

Oh the Queen Mum knew better than to wear shiny stuff during the day. As for Aretha, I won't pick on her. My grandmother and my husband's granny had the exact same hat.

And you were just asking if the Orthodox had a sense of humor.

We all need to be prepared for this next four years because the "C"s (appropriate initial btw) of this country will not tolerate any dissent and will try to bully the rest of us anytime we speak ill of the Great Leader. Ironic because they just spent the last 8 years telling us dissent was patriotic.

HA! I was just going to post about that today.

The tag of this post was titled "sarcasm". I was poking fun of the red carpet coverage (fake journalism) of the inauguration. WHo gives a shit about Aretha's hat, Michelle's dress and what celebrities were there? Its all a showy media frenzied cult of personality Obama worship.

Yes it is a Terry post - and who gave you permission to use my photo? ROFLMAO!

I had my eyes on the Bush twins the whole time. Twins are hot. LOL!

The dress was odd. Hillary's frock for her first day on the job was more bizarre. Very tweedish in a boxy sort of way. I thought Michelle's dress the night of the election was the most bizarre to date. She had a big black X on her belly. Symbolism?
