Is that a hot pink habit?
Sr. Cupcake of the Holy Sprinkles?
Perpetual adoration and everyday is a bake sale?

Where was this photo taken and what is the religious community's name?

Fr. David Streit, SVD - Rome said...

They are the "Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration", founded by St. Arnold Janssen, a German priest, who previously founded two active missionary Congregations: the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) for Priests and Brothers and the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters (SSpS). The contemplative Congregation of the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters was his third foundation in 1896.

Their purpose is to support the members of the two active missionary congregations (SVD and SSpS) in their work of evangelization, while praying as well before the Blessed Sacrament for the needs of the whole Church and especially for the sanctification of priests.

They wear a rose colored habit in honor of the Holy Spirit. Because of this, people have long called them the "Pink Sisters".

Their 'Mt. Grace' convent in Philadelphia has an 'adoration webcam'...

You know, its a great community, but I think the very idea of wearing pink (esp hot pink) all my life would be the deepest mortification I could muster.

My granie loved them and so do I.

She bought the dh and I a mass card from them for our Wedding Day and it is a treasure.

And for the reason for the pink:

And now I know the rest of the story. Thank you Fr. Streit and than you CC again for the Nun Gazing and Eye Candy Combo!
