I don't know what exactly we did to deserve this, but I suggest we start repenting right now.

I posted this one on my "A Parade of Bad Nativities" post last year. I just republished it since I moved my blog over the summer. Blog is Leave the Lights On. I've got some 3 dozen NEW bad nativities to go through for "A Parade of Bad Nativities 2009," scheduled for Monday. I'm sure you've seen the original Cavalcade of Bad Nativities and Cavalcade II—my posts are a tribute to them!

You have to see the nativity made of painted light bulbs. You could consider it my entry for your contest, if you like. It cannot be described in even 1000 words, so you'll have to click through.

The annual hate Christmas season is reaching hysterical proportions, but that, I think, is rather a satire.
Anyway, I just wanted to alert you to something I just ran across re: Nativity scenes. http://www.romereports.com/palio/modules.php?t=100-of-the-most-unique-nativity-scenes-on-display-in-Rome&name=News&file=article&newlang=english&sid=1326

I agree with Tommy...I think that is a satire aimed at ACLU types.

I recognise Marx and Stalin. Who is the third "wise man"?

Gary and Joseph instead of Mary and Joseph
Marx, Lenin and Stalin as the wisemen
Terrorist Shepherd
Angel with Nancy Pelosi's face

Funny!

Kat,
Today's Charlotte Observer has a picture of a canned ham nativity. The picture is not in the online version. Even though it won some kind of contest, maybe they thought the picture was too much for the Internet. Ha!!!

When you think things can't sink lower...guess again!
Yikes!
That's enough for me to spend the night in vigil before the Blessed Sacrament...and I LIKE my sleep time!
Jesus, mercy!
