Sorry. I don't see any redemptive value here...unless you count the suffering experienced by the passers-by. Even then, it depends on how well developed their theology of suffering is.

There are two of them just down the road from me. One day, one of the "Liberty" mascots was playing a guitar. Another day, one of them evidently had someone shout something negative at them as they drove by. Mr. "Liberty" took the time to energetically flip them off. I was cracking up laughing all the way down the road.
This is clearly an economy of identities: roadside prophet AND the statue of liberty. It's the new dualism.
Oh, too funny! A friend of ours called a week or two ago to tell us his dad (older, retired, looking for something to do) took a job as one of them. He was so amused he was practically in tears.
