parental jedis...

... I love my cousin. She & I are proud of our lineage of mental instability. When we get together hilarity always ensues. Our poor children bear our torments remarkably well. My cousin & I love to dream up ways to torture our children when they are caught in their misdeeds.

We both agree nothing is more effective than public humiliation.

This weekend I learned of the Light Switch Plate Necklace of Doom. Her children are forced to wear a light switch plate cover on a piece of rope around their necks for an entire day if they forget to turn off the lights when leaving a room.

When her children squabble, such as siblings will, she handcuffs them together for the day and forces them to cooperate and work together. I am sure one day her kids and The Boy will join forces to plot our doom, until then we will enjoy wielding out omnipotent parental authority around at the expense of their tender psyches.
