Notice this clip was taken a good many years ago when Mick and the lads were young and spry and still able to do those gyrations and whatnot. Now that they're all eligible for Social Security and Mick looks like he should be on life support, they all seem kinda pathetic. As an acquaintance of mine remarked dryly after Mick and the Stones appeared at the Superbowl halftime show several years ago, "I thought he was going to break a hip."
Blasphemy! Is outrage!
I like the Stones too, but I had to admit that a sleeveless shirt on Mick was a Wardrobe Malfunction
Gotta love the hairstyles, too. Is outrage!
Before you were born I was a fan...Anyway - my favorite has to be 'Miss You' from 'Some Girls'.For the person with taste, there is a season for Beatles and a season for Stones... never one or another.
This reminds me of when the Stones were in Raleigh a few years ago. My then four-year-old saw a pic of Mick in the paper and said, "Hey, look! There's Grampa! And he's wearing Grammie's pants!" (Mick was sporting leather pants.) A few hours later when her then-Kindergarten sister came home from school, #4 excitedly pointed out the photo and said, "Look, there's Grampa!" to which Kindergarten thoughtfully replied, "Hmmm... Looks like someone's grampa - not our grampa, but definitely someone's grampa...
The Stones??! Ah, that explains a lot.As for fulfilling my rock jones from that era - The Kinks!:-)
Ah good to know.I can never decide if my favorite Stones song is "Lady Jane", "She's a Rainbow", or "Paint it Black"But, those are pretty much all of my favorites of theirs.
