Love it !
a great alternative on singles awareness day is to be proactive and ask your priest/married couples where the single Catholics your own age hang out/where they met their spouse ect ect , thats what I did yesterday (ok several days early but I was done with moping.)
+JMJ+That's just great! I should steal that!
Who says there are "happy couples"?Not to be a 'nasty old celibate', but from my own limited experience...well...looks can be deceiving:<)!'Caritas' does NOT mean "not having to say you're sorry"...it means asking forgiveness over and over and over and over again.Christian marriage is a cross just like consecrated celibacy. Just in a different venue!
Nazareth Priesttake it from me that the real difficulty lies not in refraining to hit the soppy, OTT, 'oh he bought me flowers, he must love me' couples whose relationship will be over in a heartbeat but the Christian husband and wife who've been together for ages, you know that they really love each over (he took time off work for her during the cancer/cancer scare to be by her side, she practically slept in hospital when he had a car accident)and whose match truely was made in heaven, thats the time its hard to break the 5th/9th and 10th commandments. Still good news from my end I'm 99.999% sure that my vocation is to the married life and I've been told where all the Traditionalist girls in England(who are not SSPX) hang out.
