Hey, now that is not fair, Kat. I don't even have your address!!!
Or as I prefer to call Valentines Day, national singles' awareness day :(....I despise Valentine's Day
You could always arrange to think you were dying again, maybe around the 13th or 14th? :-) Hey, broken hearts feel like death, don't they?
I think the last time I gave a lady a valentine was in 1984, but I'm not sure anymore. But here's a blog valentine for you, Kat. You do great work, keep it up! Peace and blessings.
Wait. Guys, I've got a better idea. Much, MUCH better. I'll announce it on the 12th, because that's a Friday. Stay tuned to twitter.com/manwithblackhat to find out.
What are you gonna announce, David?Joe, you just need a lovely young lady to send flowers to, then you'd love Valentine's Day as much as my husband does! Just ask him! Yeah...he'll tell you. If you're looking to send flowers, I can give you a name of a lovely 23 year old who would love some. hehheh.
hmmm not a bad Idea Jan, perhaps us singles should all fake a heart attack during the Homily :) being serious I'll be glad when the 15th comes around, now back to finding where all those Traditional girls got to....
My family, well, we tend to give flowers happily for birthdays and anniversaries and births. My grannie always said, "Don't give me any flowers at my funeral! I want them when I can enjoy them!"There is no way I would want "Valentines" Flowers. I tend to be too pragmatic, I rather get lots of cheap flowers 'off season' and not a sparse few on the high cost holidays. And no thanks to sitting in line for reservations for 'dinner out' on that day either.I bought a heart shapped cookie cutter to make some cookies for and with my darlings.
"National Single Awareness Day" - I love it...............that is so dang funny.Yannow....the very best Mother's Day I ever had was right after hubby thought I had a heart attack. Coincidence? I think NOT...
What old Bob said.
in lieu of flowers I will take blog donations. Are you cringing yet, Terry?
Hey, flowers are wonderful, no matter who sends 'em or why...I love flowers in the winter...doesn't mean I have to date anybody or lose my virtue...crap on 'em if they can't "get the message"...What happened to good old romance or courtship?Oh, yeah.I live in the "middle ages"...sorry.
I don't know about you but I'm celebrating the patron saints of my forefathers, Ss. Cyril and Method.
Kat, I'm married and I still don't receive chocolates, flowers, or cards on Valentine's Day either... Being in a couple is no guarantee.
