Great! They decided that you're crazy but not dangerous to the Pope.

I would love to see pictures. It's been my dream since I was about five to go to Rome and see the Holy Father. Some people dream of vacations to tropical places. I dream of the Vatican and the Holy Father and the bones of my favorite saint - Saint Peter!

I'm very happy for you!

Once you find a good spot to watch from I recommend tying your left and right shoelaces together just in case you are overcome with emotion and find yourself trying to jump the barricade. When you hit the pavement most people will just think you are swooning and you'll save yourself the trouble of being the focus of an international incident. :]

See? The Big Guy WAS checking you out... and apparently liked what he saw.

Try to sneak in a six-pack of Spaeten Optimator; maybe after the public audience concludes you, the H.F. and Msgr G can retire into a side chamber where you can all hoist a brew, solve all the problems of the Church, swap jokes and share recipes. Probably won't happen, but I'll bet a six-pack improves your chances.

Praying for no international incidents featuring a certain American female pilgrim. P&B.

If you do do this you will definitely meet Monsignor - he'll visit you in the psych ward to extend the Holy Father's apologies.

You want to be tackled by a Swiss guardsman?

Just some advice for you Kat: Arrive an hour early to the papal audience if you want to be near the front. And have someone ready to take a photo of 'you and the Pope' when he comes by in his Popemobile.

Maybe he'll be wearing his Saturno hat again...
