Not exactly. Actually, in the days when everybody used them, people had breathing problems caused by the fact that all the, er, fertilizer used to get powdered and end up in the air. That is, if "green" is supposed to mean "clean" and "healthy for humans." But come to think of it, more and more that isn't true, is it?(Don't get me wrong: I speak as an ardent horse lover. I just think we shouldn't romanticize too much.)
I enjoy the slower pace of life sometimes, away from the big city... I just wish those carriages had wheelchair lifts! :-)
