just when I was ready to give up...

... the Digital Hairshirt presents me with another opportunity to find Mr. Crescat. Isn't she thoughtful?

"TheUglyBugBall.com caters to the "aesthetically challenged" with a pitch line of "ugly people are a better calibre of human - pretty people generally aren't very nice and tend to be a bit shallow. That and, ugly people have lower expectations. For a first date a Family Bucket will usually do the trick." [source]

Sixth time is the charm right?

Define "ugly."

Whoa! Good luck with all THAT...

To paraphrase Forrest Gump, "Momma always said, 'ugly is as ugly does'...". Also apropos- "Beauty may be only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone".

Digital Hairshirt is a fine, Catholic woman with a great sense of humor, but you may want to re-think this one, Kat. Trust me on this... P&B.

At least you know he wouldn't take himself too seriously...

Boy, I must admit I'm conflicted. Here's a website which says in effect: "We're factory seconds. We know it; no sense in even trying to portray ourselves as anything different. We've stopped looking for the supermodels and the stockbrokers; we'll be happy as long as s/he is in some sense presentable." On the one hand, such candor is refreshing. On the other hand, does anyone need to make that kind of tacit admission?

I want to be there for you, Kat . . .

Notice how I never post a picture of my husband? Oh, my kids, those cute little Hummels? Adopted. Totally.

1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

2. I had a confrere who was called the ghost because he is scary. But his interpersonal skills was the best in the entire seminary. He ended up marrying a gorgeous, movie star like, lady.

3. Finding a soul mate is more of a journey than a destination; because, sharing life with a soul mate is also another journey. It's like you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find prince charming. Vaya con Dios hermana. And enjoy the trip.
