Welcome to St. Ann's... we are happy to have you!!God bless you and your son... perhaps we can see your son as one of the altar boys... we don't have swords for him, but we do have really tall torches! :-)
beautiful! We Byzantines have a clerical hat much like theirs but without the 'poof'
Know all about that struggle! Why does just trying to be a faithful Catholic have to be so hard? I read your blog and feel like I've found a soul mate.God bless you and your son,LJ
s monaco... The Boy starts training in the fall. I want him to have a few years experience before he trains for the mef though.
LJ, glad you enjoy blog.
That is a move that you will be so thankful for!The TLM is unbelievable!Dan
Kat whats the "mef" may I please ask?
For anyone interested, here are instructions from St Ann's website about the Traditional Latin Mass:http://stanncharlotte.org/content/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=527&Itemid=102Dan
Good for you!
I'm so envious! Columbia, SC is in no-man's land when it comes to the TLM. It's not even offered once a month here.
This announcement was in my parish bulletin this week. Thought I'd pass it along for for those close enough: An EF Mass will be celebrated at St Paul the Apostle in Spartanburg,SC on Aug 15 at 7pm. A reception will follow in the parish center.St Paul's website: St. Paul the Apostle
We just did the same - agreed! And hubby is now planning to start RCIA in the fall there. Congrats! Of course my brother and sister who were going there before are all now over at St Gabes. Don't ask... :)
*sigh* I wish we had a choice. But my husband is an organist and must go where he can get work. Maybe someday he'll get a job at a synagogue, won't have to work on Sundays, and we can go to church wherever we want.
Good for you. In the early years of my conversion, I didn't know any other Mass than the Novus Ordo--and after having suffered enough abuses at the local Franciscan parish, I made the switch to the TLM run by FSSP priests. I've never looked back since.
Very happy for you and The Boy, Kat. God bless you in your new spiritual home.
