I know Cat, I was thinking the same thing. We like our saints bloody, beaten and bludgeoned, carrying their eye balls on a platter.

We're a passionate people.

We have this whole weird, wonderful history weighing on us and I think we just want what's best for each other.

I can't speak for the LCWR or the SSPX, but I think at the end of the day, we all love God, His saints, His Church and each other. I think...

We have nowhere else to go.

If we were Protestants, and didn't like our church, we'd just go to the next denomination down the road, where we'd be smugly satisfied. Unfortunately, the many fights in the Church today come from people who think like Protestants.

I did a post on the subject - kinda - for this morning but I removed it - well it was scheduled to post but I didn't post it.

The thing about the fighting is how mean and bitchy and nasty people can get.

I would argue that there are certainly things that we wouldn't argue over.
